Seit ihrer ersten Durchführung im Jahr 1996 hat sich die Regenbogenparade nicht nur zum wichtigsten Event der LSBTI-Bewegung entwickelt, sondern auch zu einem bedeutenden Symbol für eine Kultur der Solidarität, Toleranz und Gleichberechtigung.

Auch 2015 findet die Regenbogenparade wieder im Rahmen von Vienna Pride (16.-21. Juni 2015) statt. Das Pride Village schlägt seine Zelte wieder am Rathausplatz auf.
