The Yawns are a DIY guitar pop band from the south side of Glasgow, Scotland where they all live together in a flat. In late 2012, they started
gigging and home recorded their self-titled debut album. The album was originally self-released on bandcamp, but was quickly re-released on cassette tape by Giant Hell in Manchester, and on 12” vinyl by Records Records Records in London. In January 2013, The Yawns went on a headline tour of the UK to promote the release of their album. In Glasgow they have
opened for Ty Segall, Dirty Beaches, and Amen Dunes. In April they also supported The Growlers on a sold out UK tour.
