This really cool guy Samuel Beckett had the right spirit by saying this smart thing about failing.

So yeah, after our summerbreak we will work even harder to make sure that the Open Mic Vienna 2.0 remains a safe space for the experiment, for progress, for the brave, for keeping it real. Stop trying so hard, it's a fun night for fun people who push forward by inventing new ways and new ideas. Don't be so hard on yourself, your existence is legit. Just being yourself is enough, you're doing a great job by just being alive. Open Mic Vienna 2.0 is the wrong place for trying to proof something to anybody but yourself. We are all rockstars for being alive anyway, so please chill the fuck out and don't take yourself too seriously.

I will start to curate the wildcard act spot myself and not make it a lottery anymore. So yeah, handpicked Acts will have a chance to perform as the WILDCARD ACT, which means this particular Act gets 20 minutes of stage time and is the only one allowed to take themselves a little more seriously because it's an actual mini set.
So me, Steffko will start playing god by picking acts for the Wildcard that I think Vienna should see. You can still contact me via the Open Mic Vienna 2.0 page and send me your stuff for consideration.

Everybody's welcome! We want to reach the highest level of variety and diversity possible. It's like THE INTERNET but without the youtube comments. Share whatever musical or performative creation you wanna share in front of an audience. (Poetry, Stand-Up etc. is ok yess, also your weird performance art piece you're still looking to try out in front of an audience.)
