Stell dir vor, du hast die 1970er am eigenen Leib miterlebt. John Lennon spaziert durch Manhattan, niemand wäre auch nur im Entferntesten auf die Idee gekommen Led Zeppelin und Black Sabbath würden einmal alt werden und was soll bitte Disco und Hip Hop sein?In den 80ern kannst du mit dem Besitz einer Kassette (!) von Sonic Youth, The Cure und Sisters Of Mercy noch so richtig verwegen sein. Zehn Jahre später erlebst du Rage Against The Machine und Nirvana live … in Wien (!) …und um deine ersten selbstverdienten Schillinge (!) kaufst du so richtig viele gute Soundgarden Schallplatten (!).
Unter diesen Vorzeichen wurde Blinded Colours in St.Pölten/Wien gegründet. Groove, die Richtige Portion Härte und einprägsame Melodien waren die Stilmittel für das Vorhaben, jegliche musikalische Grenzen zu sprengen. Mit exzessiven Liveshows, diversen Samplerbeiträgen und einer Reihe legendärer Demos wurden Blinded Colours zum fixen Bestandteil der österreichischen Indieszene der 1990er.Bernhard Kozlina (Voc) und Bernhard Kiehas (Git) haben Blinded Colours seither ruhen lassen und in keinen anderen Formationen gespielt. 2008 soll die spannende Frage geklärt werden, wie ihre Band heute klingt. Sie wissen es selber (noch) nicht.
